Opened in January 2008, Belle & Jerome is situated at the heart of West Bridgford. We are an independently owned continental style café and tapas restaurant that is proud to be that little bit different - the wine list is not secondary to the food, and the importance we place upon the service of fabulous coffee is inspired by the café culture of our European neighbours.
By day, we are a lively café serving satisfying & indulgent breakfasts and freshly cooked lunches alongside probably the best Fairtrade coffee in town. In the evening absorb the understated sophistication as this versatile venue transforms into a suave wine bar & tapas restaurant, to transport you to a little corner of the continent. Our evening tapas menu has been designed and priced to complement our drinks, with all our dishes freshly created on site.
So whether you are after a wickedly rich homemade chocolate brownie to accompany your afternoon Fairtrade coffee, or one of our continental-style tapas sharing platters while working your way through our incredible wine list, Belle & Jerome has something up its stylish sleeve.
We aim not to be your ordinary café or wine bar; we offer friendly and attentive table service throughout the day, allowing you to avoid the usual Saturday night crush at the bar and providing a totally relaxed and refined feel for the more discerning customer.

"Christmas Corkers" - Tuesday 22nd November 2011
Let us guide you through the drinks of Christmas, starting with a festive glass or two of bubbly. The following white & red wines will be ideal for a traditional Christmas lunch, and will be accompanied by perfectly matched sharing platters. A dessert wine served with a sample of our belgian chocolate brownie, and a rich port with stilton will finish the night off in style.

WINE LIST
We have gone to great lengths to put our wine list together, and each bottle has been personally selected on it's individual merits. Of course, we can't guarantee that every bottle will be to everyone's tastes, but what we can guarantee is that each one is a fine example of the variety and region that it represents. We think that our list offers a diverse range of wines from all corners of the world, with a great balance between New World purity and Old World experience.

GREAT COFFEE
Many factors go into making the perfect coffee. One of the most important of these is the quality of the bean. At Belle & Jerome we use a blend of darkly roasted, pure Arabica espresso beans from Central and Southern America, which are full-bodied with a hint of caramel. They are Fairtrade, too, of course. We use Brasilia espresso machines imported from Italy, and all our staff are fully trained by our manager, Adriana Gosuen, winner of 2005 UK Barista of The Year competition, and a perfectionist about espresso coffee.
Every espresso shot we make uses 7.5g of freshly ground coffee. This is slightly stronger than many other coffee houses, but creates the perfect full-bodied espresso that doesn't get lost in a latte or cappuccino. Because we use one shot in our small coffees and two shots in our larger cups, the two sizes will vary slightly in strength of flavour, with the larger size being slightly stronger in comparison.
EVENING TAPAS MENU
We now serve a full evening tapas menu from 5pm, available either in the downstairs bar, or our more intimate upstairs dining area. The menu is available from 5pm, Monday-Saturday, and all our food is freshly prepared in our kitchen, from locally sourced products where possible.
We have an Early Bird tapas offer available from 5-7pm Monday-Friday, offering a main tapas dish, side dish, tortilla & bread for just £7.95.
On Monday evenings, we also have a "2 Dine for £10" tapas offer available from 5-9pm, which includes a choice of 3 mains tapas dishes, 1 side dish, a portion of tortilla & bread

BREAKFAST
Breakfast at Belle & Jerome, West Bridgford, is served from 8am-11:30am midweek, 8am-midday on Saturdays and 9am-midday on Sundays.
We also serve a weekend brunch menu from 9am-2pm, Saturday & Sunday, running alongside our regular breakfast and lunch menus.

LUNCH
Lunch is served: Monday-Friday 11:30am-3pm, Saturday 12pm-5pm, Sunday 12pm-4pm
We serve a range of freshly baked baguettes, wraps and salads at lunchtime, as well as daily specials. We also offer gluten free bread at both our sites.
Every meal is prepared to order, and our chutneys, pestos, pickles and soups are all freshly made on site. We also have a range of homemade cakes, scones and biscuits available throughout the day, and pride ourselves on having probably the best chocolate brownie in Nottingham.

BUSINESS LUNCH
We have designed a couple of lunchtime buffet menus that are ideal for business lunch meetings, when more than just a sandwich is needed.

PRIVATE FUNCTIONS
Our upstairs room and bar is available for private hire every weekday morning for breakfast meetings from 8am until 11am, and for evening functions and parties throughout the week and weekend. We are also happy to accept reservations for afternoon events, such as Christening parties on Sundays. The room also comes fully equipped with a high resolution projector and drop down screen, ideal for presentations.
The room can comfortably seat up to 34 people (40 if standing), and we can provide a range of catering options, all of which are freshly made on the premises. Our team of chefs will be happy to help plan a menu to suit your needs.
If you would like to organise your own private wine tasting evening then we would be delighted to help with this. For a small fee we can provide a wine expert to join you on the evening and talk to you through the wines, or if your would prefer we can simply provide tasting notes so that you can host your own wine tasting evening.
